Join the Fight to Advance High-impact Financial Education Programming in Schools
Calling all those compelled to promote youth financial literacy to join our coalition of advocates working to advance financial education in schools.
We welcome your involvement as we work to encourage policymakers to ensure that all students receive personal finance courses that meet education standards required by other core subjects while preparing our youth for the financial realities of life.
Problem – All States’ Current Financial Literacy Mandates in Schools Fail
Opportunity – Financial Literacy Empowers 100% of Students with Usable Education
According to recent studies,(2, 3) a limited proportion of students reap financial benefits from their high school coursework, underscoring the potential significance of integrating financial literacy education into the curriculum. By equipping graduates with essential financial knowledge and skills, financial literacy can directly contribute to their personal well-being.(3)

Goals – Campaign Objective
The campaign has 3 objectives that are outlined in the Policy and Standards Framework for High School Financial Literacy Education:
1) Encourage policymakers to mandate financial literacy coursework across all 50 states.
2) Hold financial literacy to the same standards of rigor and pedagogy as all other classes.
3) Ensure that every student graduates prepared to make near-term financial decisions.
